A garden classic, Hydrangeas are favoured for their easy growth and resistance to common garden ailments, adapting readily to various soils and conditions, making them perfect for shrubberies or edging borders. Vanille Fraise is a remarkable cultivar, the product of extensive breeding trials. This Hydrangea variety features elegant, cone-shaped, satin white blooms that gradually transition to a delightful strawberry hue before maturing into a rich russet red. The upright red stems provide a striking contrast against the vibrant green foliage, creating an attractive display suitable for any garden space or patio. Flowering from July until well into October, it extends the garden's seasonal colour. Plant in its permanent location when conditions allow and water regularly until established. Hydrangeas thrive in sunny or partially shaded spots, provided they are sheltered from harsh, drying winds. It flourishes in any fertile, moist, non-alkaline soil. Prune after flowering to refine the plant's shape; cut back the oldest stems to a few buds above ground level to encourage larger blooms. Caution: All parts of this hydrangea are toxic and may cause stomach upset if ingested. The foliage may also irritate sensitive skin. Position: sun or semi-shade. Height: 2m (6ft) if unpruned. Spread: 2m (6ft) if unpruned. Supplied in an 8cm pot. Images are for illustrative purposes only and represent the expected results upon maturity. Varying growing conditions can affect results. Images may also show the stage of supply but this may vary due to seasonal changes. Deciduous plants will have no leaves in colder months.
