To nurture your pelargoniums, start them off in pots, ensuring they’re kept in warm, frost-free conditions. Once the threat of frost has passed, gradually introduce the geraniums to outdoor conditions over seven to ten days. After this period of acclimatisation, they can be transplanted into their final positions in containers, beds, or borders.
Plant your geraniums in a sunny or partially shaded spot, using light, non-acidic, well-drained soil. To encourage branching and a bushier plant with abundant blooms, pinch off the growing tip of each stem.
