Fuchsia Skyrocket is a hardy shrub with an upright habit, perfect for creating a stunning focal point in your garden. Its long stems can be trained against a support or frame to create a beautiful display. This free-flowering variety produces eye-catching bicoloured red and white flowers that emerge from dangling pink buds. The blooms appear along the entire length of the stem, ensuring a long-lasting floral show.
With its vigorous and strong upright growth, this fuchsia is easy to train onto a trellis or obelisk. It thrives in patio pots or planted in sheltered borders, in either sun or semi-shade. Expect it to reach a height of 150cm and spread to 90cm.
To get the best from your Fuchsia Skyrocket, pot it up using well-drained compost and grow it on in warm, frost-free conditions. Pinch out the growing tips while the plant is still small to encourage bushier growth and more abundant flowering. Once the plant is well-grown and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise it to outdoor conditions over a week to ten days. Then, plant it in its final position in patio containers or sunny or semi-shaded borders, choosing a location sheltered from cold winds.
