We'll guide you through autumn planting and care, so you can relax and watch your garden come alive with lasting spring displays. How to Grow: Plant spring-flowering bulbs in autumn in well-drained soil in full sun or semi-shade. Alternatively, grow them in containers using a loam-based compost. Plant the bulbs at a depth of approximately three times their own height. For the best display, plant bulbs in groups or naturalised drifts. After flowering, allow the foliage to die back naturally before removing it, helping the bulbs store energy for the following year.
