Thompson and Morgan Eryngium Planum Blue Hobbit Plant in Pot 9cm 3 Pack

Eryngium, also known as Sea Holly, produces striking sprays of almost 100 inky-blue flowers in midsummer. Ideal for borders and patio pots, these hardy plants thrive in light, well-drained soil and full sun. Reaching up to 30cm in both height and spread once fully established. Sea Holly dislikes cold, wet soil, particularly during winter, which can lead to crown rot. On heavy soils, improve drainage by incorporating coarse grit before planting. Water and feed regularly throughout the growing season until the plants are well-established. For winter interest, leave the faded flower heads in place until spring. In areas with cold, wet soil, protect the crown from winter rainfall using a cloche. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring, but only when necessary, as Eryngium can be slow to re-establish.
