Dionaea Muscipula requires a little extra care to flourish, but the reward is well worth the effort. Repot as needed and cultivate indoors in a bright spot, ideally with four hours of direct sunlight daily.
Originating from swamps and wetlands, this plant needs consistently moist (but not waterlogged) soil. Water regularly via a saucer, avoiding top-down watering. Use rainwater or bottled water whenever possible, as Venus Fly Traps are sensitive to the chemicals in tap water.
