Experience the joy of gardening with the Thompson & Morgan Cucamelon Melothria 20 Seeds Packet. The climbing mini melon plant is a fantastic addition to any garden, favoured by renowned chefs and celebrities alike. This plant thrives in sunny borders, patios, or greenhouses. With its grape-sized fruits, it offers a refreshing cucumber flavour accompanied by a hint of lime. As a lush climber, it provides a striking display as it scrambles over structures like obelisks. For optimal fruit production, contain the plant to a height of up to 8 feet. Start by sowing seeds on the surface of well-draining compost, covering them with approximately 6mm of compost or vermiculite. Germination takes place in a propagator maintained at temperatures between 21 °C and 24°C (70°F and 75°F) and may take up to 21 days. Once seedlings are large enough, transplant them into 7.5cm pots. It's best to plant one seedling per 25cm container or two per grow bag. For outdoor planting, select a sunny spot and do so in late May or June, after the last frost. Support is necessary to help the plants thrive.
