Product Information

  • Bright yellow fruits, easy to spot
  • Long harvest from June to October
  • Spineless plants for easy picking

Add a splash of sunshine to your vegetable garden with 'Golden Glory' courgettes, a delightful variety boasting vibrant yellow fruits that are sure to catch the eye. Enjoy an extended harvest period, from June to October, allowing you to savour these delicious courgettes for longer.
These plants are considerately spineless, eliminating any concerns about skin irritation during harvesting. For optimal growth, plant courgettes in moist, rich, fertile, well-drained soil, in a sheltered location with plenty of sunshine.
In early spring, enrich the soil by incorporating well-rotted farmyard manure to improve its structure and fertility. Space the courgettes 90cm (36") apart, and water them thoroughly after planting. Protect young plants from birds and insects with netting or fleece.
To maintain moisture at the roots, apply a generous mulch of organic matter around the plants. Regular watering is essential, as allowing the soil to dry out can hinder their development. During the growing season, feed the courgettes every two weeks with a high potash fertiliser.
While outdoor-grown courgettes typically don't require hand-pollination, indoor plants can benefit from transferring pollen from male to female flowers. Begin harvesting from midsummer onwards when the courgettes reach 10cm (4") in length. Regular harvesting encourages further fruit production.
Did you know the courgette flowers are also edible? They can be cooked or added raw to salads for a unique culinary touch.
