Thompson and Morgan Clematis Samaritan Jo Pot in Plant 15cm

Bring a touch of elegance to your garden with Clematis ‘Samaritan Jo’. With a backdrop of lush green leaves, it's also ideal for screening fences and walls. Plant in a sunny or semi-shaded spot, ensuring the climber is deeply planted in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Clematis dislikes soils that are particularly wet or dry. Improve soil conditions using plenty of well-rotted manure or garden compost. When planting clematis in patio containers, use a soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
Train your clematis onto trellis, wires, or a freestanding climbing frame. Feed and water frequently throughout the growing season. Prune in spring before new growth begins, cutting back the previous year’s stems to a pair of healthy buds at around 20cm (8") above ground level. In spring, mulch the base with well-rotted manure or garden compost to protect the roots and conserve soil moisture.
