This rapidly growing clematis thrives in sun or shade, producing masses of glistening white blooms from March to May. A trouble-free addition to any garden, this variety will brighten your space year after year.
Plant your potted clematis and allow it to grow until it's ready for its final position. Choose a sunny or semi-shaded spot, planting deeply in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Position the top of the root ball 7.5cm (3") below soil level to encourage new shoots from the base. Clematis dislikes excessively wet or dry conditions, so enrich poor soils with well-rotted manure or garden compost. When planting in patio containers, use a soil-based compost. Train Clematis armandii onto trellis, wires, or a pergola.
