Product Information

  • Fragrant spring blossoms
  • Homegrown vitamin C-rich fruit
  • Ideal for conservatories or patios

Imagine the glossy, evergreen foliage as a stunning backdrop, perfectly showcasing clusters of fragrant, waxy blossoms each spring. Ideal for a conservatory or a sun-drenched windowsill, this orange tree can also enjoy the warmth of a patio during summer. These citrus fruits, typically maturing over a year, deliver the delightful taste of homegrown oranges, packed with vitamin C.
Versatile in the kitchen, these oranges are excellent for juices, jams, and chutneys, making them a versatile ingredient for cooking and baking. Or freeze the whole fruit to use as refreshing ice cubes. Beyond their culinary uses, the attractive fruits provide a lovely ornamental display.
For planting, use a container or pot with a blend of ericaceous compost and a neutral, soil-based compost like John Innes No.3. Ensure the plant is repotted at its original soil level, firming it well into the new container. Water thoroughly and position in a well-lit area, shielded from cold draughts and radiators, ideally within a temperature range of 4-12°C. When frost is not a risk, from May to October, the plant can thrive outdoors.
During summer, water generously and mist the leaves daily to increase humidity and discourage pests. Feed every two weeks with a citrus fertiliser. Before any frost, bring the plant back indoors. In winter, reduce watering, but be careful not to let the plant dry out completely; both overwatering and underwatering can cause fruit to drop.
The orange tree is supplied in a 9cm nursery pot and will be delivered with care along with growing instructions. Please remember that the images are for guidance only, reflecting the expected results of mature plants, and actual results can vary with growing conditions. Seasonal changes can also affect appearance, and the images may not depict the exact variety.
