For optimal growth, place your cactus in full light, with some shelter from the hottest sun. It thrives in average temperatures between 10-23°C, and can even tolerate temperatures as low as 5°C. Remember that cacti are slow growers, so patience is key.
During the summer months, water regularly with soft or rainwater, allowing the compost to dry slightly between waterings. Ensure the cactus is never left standing in water, as this can lead to rot. From March to September, when the plant is actively growing, feed regularly. In winter, reduce watering gradually and allow the compost to remain dry while the plant is dormant.
