For baskets, window boxes, pots, or flower beds, it’s best to pot these begonia plugs first and nurture them in bright, frost-free conditions. You can also plant them straight into flower pouches. Once your plants have grown larger, transplant them into their final containers. After the last frost, gradually acclimatise the begonia plants to outdoor conditions over seven to ten days before settling them in their chosen spots.
Choose a sunny or semi-shaded location, sheltered from strong winds. Remember to feed and water your begonia plants regularly throughout the growing season, taking care not to over-water, as this can cause bud drop. Deadhead faded flowers regularly to encourage more blooms and extend the flowering period.
