Product Information

  • Hardy, compact shrubs with vibrant spring flowers
  • Perfect for borders, containers, or rock gardens
  • Glossy evergreen foliage for year-round interest

These dwarf azaleas are hardy, evergreen shrubs renowned for their vibrant spring blooms. A profusion of colourful flowers often partially hides their glossy foliage, creating a stunning display. Their compact, slow-growing nature makes them perfect for low-maintenance borders, patios, or containers. Thrive in moist, well-drained, acidic soil enriched with well-rotted organic matter. Plant in semi-shade or dappled sunlight, sheltered from harsh winds; however, they can tolerate sunnier spots if the soil consistently stays moist. For alkaline soils, container planting with ericaceous compost and a soil-based compost like John Innes No. 3 is recommended. Avoid planting too deeply. Water regularly during the growing season, ideally with rainwater to prevent soil acidity reduction. Spring feeding with a slow-release fertiliser designed for acid-loving plants is beneficial. Winter protection from cold winds is advised, and border plants will appreciate an autumn mulch around their shallow roots (avoiding the stem to prevent rot). Mature height and spread: 90cm. Supplied in 9cm pots. Images are for illustrative purposes only and may vary due to seasonal changes and plant variety.
