For optimal growth, cultivate Brugmansia plants within a conservatory or greenhouse. Alternatively, house them in substantial patio containers, ensuring they can be relocated to a frost-free environment with a minimum temperature of 7 degrees Celsius during the winter months. Plant in a soil-based compost, such as John Innes No. 3, and water generously. Position the containers in full sun.
From May to September, allow your Angel's Trumpet plants to bask in a bright outdoor location. Throughout the growing season, provide regular feeding and watering. Deadhead faded Brugmansia flowers to encourage further blooming.
As the weather cools, move the plants indoors between October and April, selecting a bright, frost-free spot away from chilly draughts and radiators. During winter, water sparingly, taking care not to allow the plant to dry out entirely. As the plant grows, repot it into progressively larger containers.
