These Tillandsia are epiphytic plants and do not require compost to grow. They can be wired or glued onto suitable supports, such as wood or an attractive shell. Position airplants in bright, filtered light with good air circulation, at a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius. Water frequently from spring to autumn by immersing the entire plant in rainwater or misting thoroughly. Allow the plant to completely drain and dry after each watering. Feed monthly by adding a small amount of bromeliad fertiliser to misting water.
