Thompson and Morgan Agapanthus Poppin Purple Pot in Plant 9cm

This evergreen Agapanthus retains its foliage throughout winter, maintaining interest even when other plants have faded. Expect domed clusters of deep purple buds that open into violet blooms, creating a captivating two-tone mauve effect.
This compact plant is perfectly suited for narrow, sunny borders and patio pots. For optimal growth, plant in rich, fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny location. When planting in containers, use a soil-based compost. Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season.
Leave the faded flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads in autumn. Once the first frost blackens the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect outdoor plants from severe winter weather with a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container-grown plants can be moved to a frost-free location over winter.
