Thompson and Morgan Agapanthus Northern Star Plant Pot 3L

Agapanthus 'Northern Star' is a captivating free-flowering variety, perfect for adding a splash of deep blue to your garden. From June to August, it produces a profusion of blooms, each adorned with a striking purple stripe. Reaching a height of 90cm, it's ideally suited for the middle of borders, creating a stunning display when planted in clumps.
These blooms rise gracefully above sturdy stems, making them excellent for cutting and bringing indoors for an equally impressive display. For optimal growth, plant in rich, fertile, well-drained soil in a sunny location. When planting in patio containers, use a soil-based compost such as John Innes No.3. Regular feeding and watering throughout the growing season will encourage abundant flowering.
Leave the faded flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads throughout autumn. Once the first frosts blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect outdoor plants from severe winter weather by applying a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container-grown plants can be moved to a frost-free location for overwintering. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring.
