- Hardy kiwi with sweet, peelable fruits
- Vigorous vines ideal for trellises
- Produces abundant crops in UK gardens
Bring a touch of the exotic to your garden with our Kiwi ‘Geneva’ and Kiwi arguta – hardy varieties perfectly suited to the UK climate. ‘Geneva’ is a vigorous grower, quickly establishing itself and delivering a generous yield of honey-sweet, 1-inch fruits each year. These develop a charming reddish tinge when basking in full sun and are ready for picking from September to October, providing a delightful autumn harvest for eating fresh or using in your favourite recipes.
For exceptional cold hardiness, look no further than Kiwi arguta. This variety happily withstands temperatures down to -15°C, producing small, smooth-skinned fruits that require no peeling – simply enjoy their intense sweetness. Once established in a sunny, well-drained location, you can anticipate harvests of up to 13kg. Beyond their delicious fruit, these twining climbers, adorned with creamy-white summer flowers, add a beautiful aesthetic to pergolas, trellises or south-facing walls.
To ensure successful growth: plant in a sunny, south-facing position; these plants are fully hardy; keep the soil consistently moist, particularly whilst the fruit is developing; incorporate well-rotted manure or compost at planting and feed annually with a balanced fertiliser; and provide good air circulation to maintain moderate humidity. Please note, images are for illustrative purposes only, and results may vary depending on growing conditions. Plants may appear differently depending on the season (for example, deciduous plants will lose their leaves). Decorative pots are not included. Supplied as a pack of 2.
