Thompson and Morgan Abelia Grandiflora Plant in Pot 3.5L

Abelia x grandiflora is an excellent, yet often overlooked, shrub that provides months of colour, scent and all-round interest to any garden. This semi-evergreen boasts a robust, arching habit and delivers outstanding autumn interest with its clusters of fragrant flowers. Ideally suited to warmer climates, Abelia thrives in dry, sunny borders. Abelia can be clipped into a hedge easily.
Easily maintained as a hedge, this reasonably compact plant features glossy foliage that persists for most of the year, ensuring seasonal appeal. For optimal hardiness, plant against a sheltered wall to protect from harsh weather and encourage growth. Abelia x grandiflora flourishes in garden borders with any fertile, well-drained garden soil, or in patio containers with soil-based compost.
Position in full sun, and water and feed regularly until established. Deadhead spent flowers to prolong the flowering season. During winter, protect the roots with horticultural fleece or bark mulch, being careful not to mound the mulch against the main stem. In late spring, lightly trim to remove any shoots that detract from the plant's symmetry.
