Air Plants, also known as Tillandsia, are incredibly easy to care for as they don't require any soil. They absorb moisture and nutrients directly from the air, showcasing resilient, spiky foliage and occasionally bursting into vibrant blooms. They require minimal care, simply basking in bright, filtered light and higher humidity levels.
For optimal growth:.
Light:** Position in bright, filtered light with good air circulation.
Temperature:** Keep at a minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius.
Watering:** From spring to autumn, water frequently by immersing the entire plant in rainwater or misting thoroughly. Ensure complete drainage and allow the plant to dry afterwards. Reduce soaking frequency in winter.
Feeding:** Feed monthly by adding a small amount of bromeliad fertiliser to misting water.
Humidity:** Higher humidity levels, such as those found in bathrooms, are beneficial.
