This solvent-free, low-odour acrylic primer, formulated in a water dispersion, boasts very low VOC emissions. Perfect for improving the adhesion of smoothing compounds on both absorbent and non-absorbent surfaces.
Preparation is key:** Ensure your substrate is uniformly dry, sound, and free from dust, loose particles, cracks, paint, wax, oil, rust, gypsum traces, or any other bonding inhibitors. Crucially, check for and address any rising damp; all subfloors require an effective damp-proof membrane.
Application Made Easy:** Apply with brush or roller. Dilution is key: use a 1:2 water mix for cementitious or anhydrite substrates, but apply undiluted to existing ceramic tiles, natural stone, wood, and water-resistant adhesive residues. Allow to dry completely before applying smoothing compound or mortar (within 24 hours is recommended). For use as a bonding agent with Mapeproof ESM, Mapeproof One Coat, or Mapeproof 1K Turbo, apply neat 2–24 hours after membrane application.
Cleaning Up:** Clean up spills immediately with water. For dried product, use alcohol or Pulicol 2000.
Coverage & Storage:** Consumption ranges from 0.10 to 0.20 kg/m², depending on substrate porosity and application method. Store in its original sealed packaging for optimal shelf life (at least 12 months under normal conditions).
