ProWarm BACKER-PRO insulation boards deliver exceptional waterproofing and heat insulation, ideal for underfloor heating and tile installations. These premium extruded polystyrene panels, reinforced with fibreglass mesh on both sides, are perfectly suited for use with under tile heating systems (but unsuitable for underwood applications). Their superior waterproof surface creates a robust base for secure tile fixing, ensuring lasting performance and moisture protection. With an outstanding thermal conductivity of 0.033 W/mK, these boards significantly boost underfloor heating efficiency, leading to faster heat-up times and reduced energy consumption. Available in 6mm, 10mm, 12.5mm, 20mm, 30mm, and 50mm thicknesses, they offer flexibility to meet diverse project needs. Rigorously tested and approved by Instarmac - Ultra, compatibility and reliability are guaranteed. Beyond thermal benefits, they also provide effective sound insulation for a quieter home. Installation is straightforward, requiring only a knife for cutting. Suitable for both floor and wall applications. The boards maintain dimensional stability, even in damp conditions. Installation on concrete subfloors requires Ultra flexible tile adhesive and a suitable primer. For wooden subfloors, use Ultra flexible tile adhesive with insulation fixing packs or screws and washers at 300mm centres (approximately 15 fixings per board).
