Its innovative twin-layer design with an overlapping joint creates a completely smooth surface, eliminating visible lines or patterns, particularly under high-gloss finishes.
Installation is quick and straightforward, a dry process far exceeding the speed and convenience of traditional smoothing compounds. No setting time is required, allowing for immediate flooring installation. Heat-Pak simplifies electric heating system installation, keeping heating elements securely in place and flat, offering a superior alternative to wet screed methods.
Engineered for optimal performance, Heat-Pak boasts a low thermal resistance (Rm value of 0.047), facilitating rapid and efficient heat transfer for swift warm-up times and exceptional comfort. Constructed from high-quality MDF with 3mm baseboards and 4mm topboards, and featuring a special interactive contact adhesive, Heat-Pak guarantees a robust and permanent bond. Installation involves creating the first row of baseboards by halving boards lengthways, placing cut edges against the wall. Subsequent baseboard and top board rows are laid, ensuring tight joints and alignment. The final floor finish can then be glued directly to the Heat-Pak boards or laid freely on top. Remember to test the heating system and floor sensor before installing the final floor covering. Please note: Heat-Pak Dual Overlay is unsuitable for wet areas; for wet areas, use an underfloor heating mat with self-levelling compound.
