How do you clean cooker hood filters?

Regularly cleaning the filter in your cooker hood extractor can prevent a build-up of grease and help maintain the air quality in your kitchen. To clean a cooker hood filter, you should:

1. Take the filter out of your kitchen extractor fan and place it in the sink.

2. Fill the sink with hot water and a few drops of soap or grease cleaner.

3. Leave to soak for 10-15 minutes.

4. Gently scrub the filter with a soft brush to remove grease and grime.

4. Rinse with hot water to remove any soapy residue.

5. Ensure the filter is dry and then place it back into the cooker hood.

If the filter does not appear clean, you can repeat this process or replace it.

Do you need a cooker hood?

How high should a cooker hood be?
