Its decorative features and spacer balls are crafted from polished copper, hand-brazed for lasting quality. The NSEW cardinal points are polished brass, affixed to a durable powder-coated black steel rotation rod. Naturally, the polished copper will develop an attractive patina, eventually turning verdigris with age, applying a clear lacquer can help preserve its shine. The polished brass will also discolour over time. For longer life, we recommend protecting the steel rod with Hammerite. Every weathervane comes complete with an eave bracket—a 125mm (5”) projection with a 10cm square mounting plate.
