These innovative GRIPIT fixings utilise a patented slim gripping wing design, ensuring a robust and reliable hold in plasterboard. Suitable for both DIY enthusiasts and professional tradespeople, they are perfect for hanging a variety of items, from curtain rails and bookshelves to kitchen/bathroom units, radiators, boilers, and wall-mounted TVs.
Unlike traditional plasterboard fixings that can fail over time, GRIPIT fixings offer a long-lasting solution to this enduring problem. Their user-friendly design allows for easy positioning and installation, providing a secure anchor for your wall-mounted projects. The unique design distributes the load across a wide area, twice the diameter of the fixing, ensuring even stress distribution.
Designed for use in 9.5 to 15mm plasterboard, GRIPIT fixings are simple to install. Just mark the spot, drill the required hole using the recommended size flat drill bit, and tap the GRIPIT into place. Insert the included bolt with a screwdriver, and a simple twist deploys the GRIPIT wings behind the board. The Blue GRIPIT fixings are supplied with M8 machine bolts.
GRIPIT fixings can be reused; simply turn the wing screws to release and remove them. For situations with double thickness plasterboard or dot and dab adhesive, the GRIPIT Undercutting Tool (available separately) creates the necessary recess for the wings to rotate into position.
These fixings, as seen on the BBC's Dragons' Den television programme, can support loads of up to 113kg.
