Rust-Oleum Magnetic Chalkboard Paint is a tough, scratch resistant finish that allows you to create a writeable / wipeable chalkboard surface that attracts magnets. It can be used on a wide range of substrates including wood, metal, plastic, wallpaper and most other surfaces Application - Stir well before use. Use only when temperature is between 10-32oC and humidity is below 85% to ensure proper drying. Previously painted surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key. Bare metal and wood should be suitably primed prior to painting. Ensure the surface to be painted is clean, dry and smooth. Apply paint with a soft brush at a coverage rate of 5m2/m litre per coat using light even strokes taking care to avoid unsightly runs. Three coats are recommended to achieve the best magnetic effect. The smoother the surface of the paint the stronger the magnetic attraction - a light sanding of the surface prior to application of the final coat will help to achieve this. Strong magnets with minimal weight adhere best to the treated surface. Coverage - 1.25m2 per 750ml can when applied in 3 coats at a coverage rate of 5m2/L per coat. Drying Time - Dries to touch in 30-60 minutes. Allow at least 2 hours between coats.
