How to make a wildlife pond

A wildlife pond is great for your garden's ecosystem. Aim for a spot that gets 5-6 hours of sunlight, dig a terrace, and ensure the centre is at least 60cm deep. You’ll also need a pond liner and a dedicated pond underlay or damp sand. For edges, use large rocks or flat paving slabs to weigh down the liner and create hiding holes for frogs!

Plant whatever aquatic plants you like, and make sure you’re using rainwater or a tap water conditioner to neutralise the chlorine.
