How Long Does Floor Paint Take to Dry?

As it tends to require a layer of primer and a few coats, it typically takes around 72 hours for your interior floor paint to dry fully.

It may depend on how well-ventilated your space is, the type of paint used and what the flooring is made of.

It could take as little as a day before you could walk on it, but make sure to test it beforehand with your hand. We recommend holding off from manoeuvring heavy furniture on it for a couple of days to ensure it’s completely dry.

What is the Best Interior Floor Paint?

The best interior floor paint largely depends on the type of floor you’re painting.

For example, the optimal wood floor paints tend to be solvent-based paint as they are often more hard-wearing, whereas a more durable, smooth epoxy paint is recommended for concrete floors.
