During the establishment phase, regular feeding and watering are key. Once established, only occasional attention is required. Pruning is best carried out in spring, after the last frost and as buds begin to swell. Cut back all stems firmly to approximately 30cm above ground level. Patience is key, as Mallow can be slow to awaken in spring – plants that appear dormant may still be viable.
