Egg chair FAQs

Can egg chairs be left outside?

Most of our egg chairs are designed for outdoor use and built to handle typical UK weather, particularly those with synthetic rattan over a powder-coated steel frame. That said, covering your chair during prolonged rain or over winter will help preserve the cushions and extend the life of the frame. Browse our range of garden furniture covers to find a good fit.

Do egg chairs come with cushions?

The majority of egg chairs in our range come with cushions included - the product listing will confirm what's in the box. If you're looking to add or replace cushions, take a look at our outdoor cushions range for compatible options.

Are egg chairs suitable for small gardens?

Yes - egg chairs are actually a good option for smaller spaces. Their footprint is relatively compact given the level of comfort they offer, and a hanging egg chair on a stand can tuck neatly into a corner without dominating the space. If you're working with a smaller garden or balcony, our single standing styles tend to be the most space-efficient.

Do egg chairs need to be assembled?

Most egg chairs require some assembly, typically attaching the chair to its stand and fitting the cushions. It's generally straightforward and full instructions are included. Assembly time and requirements are listed on each individual product page.

Are egg chairs suitable for indoor use?

Many of our egg chairs work just as well indoors as out, particularly the standing styles, which work especially well in a conservatory or garden room. Check the individual product listing for guidance, as some hanging chairs are designed specifically for outdoor use with UV and weather-resistant materials.
