Crucial to getting your curtain bracket choice right are a few things: height, size and design. When installing your brackets, use measuring tape and a spirit level to ensure you’re placing them evenly. Ideally, you’ll want to place your bracket about 4 to 6 inches above your window and about 3-6 inches at each side of your window. This allows for your curtains to drape over more space, providing shade and privacy and a wider opening when drawing your curtains.
After you’ve marked where you’re placing your brackets, ensure this space is safe for you to drill pilot holes. Secure your brackets by screwing them into the wall. Combine your brackets with your curtain rings or pole or mix and match different colours and finishes to make your space your own.
