Product Information

One plant supplied

Raspberries are delicious and easy to grow fruits for experienced and novice gardeners, and give high yields of fruit in a small space making them suitable for any size of garden and even containers. If you end up with a glut, raspberries freeze well and make wonderful jams, sauces and desserts.
They can produce fruit for up to 10 years. The plants produce canes, which have small reddish thorns and are soft, and have compound leaves which have 5-7 serrated leaflets. The fruit is red and when ripe pulls easily away from the core.

  • Selection will fruit all Summer
  • High cropping varieties
  • Reliably performing varieties
  • Large berries are produced

Additional Information

Summer-fruiting raspberries produce flowers and fruit on one-year old canes (the previous seasons growth), however Autumn-fruiting raspberries produce flowers and fruit on the current seasons growth. Reduce the number of canes to avoid overcrowding, always remove to ground level. Tie in the strongest canes to 8-10cm apart along horizontal wire supports, if available. During summer remove any suckers growing away from the rows.
