Rhododendron are a popular woodland shrub that can put on spectacular flowering displays from spring to early summer. Rhododendrons are usually medium or large evergreen shrubs. Rhododendron flowers are usually larger, classic large trusses of funnel-shaped flowers, in late spring and early summer, but come in a slightly less vivid array of shades compared with the smaller Azalea. Most rhododendrons require acid soils. Makes a spectacular display in borders. Easy to grow.
