The IRWIN Bi-metal Blue Blades are safer since they will not break under normal working conditions, and they help reduce the risk of injury from breaking or shattering blades. Bi-Metal is formed by welding high speed steel edge and spring steel, having the benefit of safer blades with longer life. The blades last longer than traditional carbon blades, resulting in fewer blade changes.
- Shatterproof spring steel allows the blade to bend without breaking
- Stays sharp 3X longer than traditional carbon blades
- Trapezoid blades fits most utility knives
