Homebase Kitchens Guarantees
10 year guarantee
Homebase guarantees that it will, at its option, repair or replace any cabinet carcass, hinges and drawers, handles, doors and panels that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or manufacturing process within ten (10) years from the date of purchase.
5 year guarantee
Homebase guarantees that it will, at its option, repair or replace any wire baskets and inserts, waste bins and timber or laminate worktops that suffer a failure due to a defect in the materials or manufacturing process within five (5) years from the date of purchase
General terms for all guarantees
Guarantees apply only to the original purchaser for products that are used for normal domestic use. The guarantees do not apply to products used for commercial purposes such as products installed in business premises or domestic premises connected with a business premises i.e. Holiday lets. The above guarantees do not cover defects caused by, but not limited to, any of the following:
- accident, maltreatment, neglect, improper handling or failure to follow the supplied care directions;
- exposure to direct heat or excessive moisture; and
- alterations, modifications, repair or use of the product which is inconsistent with the supplied product instructions.
How to claim
To make a claim under the guarantee, please contact the Homebase store you purchased your Homebase kitchen from. Please ensure you can validate proof of purchase in the form of a receipt or other documentation received upon buying your kitchen. To make a claim under the guarantee, you will also need to provide proof that the house in which the product is installed is your primary residence (e.g. utility bills or council rate notices). To make a claim against this guarantee, you must contact Homebase during the applicable guarantee period:

How Homebase will fulfil guarantee claims
Homebase will honour all valid claims made under this guarantee by either repairing or replacing (at Homebase’s option) the defective product. For claims under this manufacturers’ guarantee Homebase will not be responsible for removal, installation, reinstallation, set up or any other costs associated with a claim.
The benefits given by this guarantee are additional to other rights and remedies that you may have under law. Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under United Kingdom and Irish Consumer law, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

At Homebase we work in partnership with the British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom installation (BiKBBI) who ensure all installers are qualified and are compliant to current legislation including having public liability insurance, Gas Safe registration and an electrical governing body registration.
We know it’s important to have a professional team working in your home. BiKBBI accredited installers will do a full technical survey to ensure your design fits, complies with relevant safety and legislative requirements and can advise you on any possible improvements.

To help you plan your kitchen and budget for the project, your Homebase Team Member can give you an indicative estimate of the installation cost of the product purchased.
