Product Information

21 x 145mm precision machined hardwood decking is grooved on one side and reeded on the other, giving you the choice of finish.

Hardwood Balau - Bangkirai - is the most commonly used hardwood deck board in the UK it is a very durable hardwood. It is a dense hardwood, heavy, strong and has very little knots that is well suited to deck construction.

Balau has the beauty of wood showing a mixture of warm colours of golden browns, light browns and pale reddish-brown. This mix of wood colour tones tend to blend in well depending on the exposure of the deck to the elements.

Yellow balau can be stained and oiled easily. Please note these are supplied as random lengths 2.1mtrs and longer (sold in 1m2 = 6.89 linear metre)

This decking should be laid onto treated deck joists on joist centres of no more than 400mm. If laying diagonally the maximum joist centres should be 300mm. It is important to seal the ends of trimmed boards before laying in order to protect fully Made with slow grown wood for stability and precision finished These boards are reversible giving you a choice of profiles Install with screws minimum 4.5mm x 60mm long Stainless-Steel Decking Screws 2 screws per joist centre, predrilling recommended Lay wooden joist supports

We recommend you level the ground where you're planning to construct your decking, making sure you compact soil & apply a ground sheet to prevent weeds penetrating
