Adorn your garden with the vivacious Geum 'Mrs J. Bradshaw', a much-loved hardy perennial celebrated for its dazzling flame-red, semi-double flowers. Borne on slender, wiry stems, these blooms appear from June to September, providing long-lasting colour throughout the summer months.
Reaching a height and spread of up to 60cm (24"), 'Mrs J. Bradshaw' is ideally suited for the front of borders. Its blooms also make a striking and unusual addition to cut flower arrangements. Geums thrive in a position in full sun or semi-shade, in moist, fertile, well-drained soil. Amend heavy clay or sandy soils with plenty of compost or well-rotted manure. Water regularly until fully established. Deadhead regularly to encourage continuous flowering throughout the summer. In spring, lift and divide overcrowded clumps to maintain vigour. Geums dislike soils which are prone to waterlogging in winter.
