Ideal for creating a colourful meadow, this Annual and Perennial Mix is perfect for autumn sowing, readily withstanding the winter months. It's a superb choice for attracting honey bees and a wide range of beneficial insects, while also providing small animals with a valuable source of nectar, food, and shelter. Your shaker mixes will perform best.
For best results, sow in a sunny or lightly shaded position, in any type of soil as long as there is adequate drainage. Prepare the ground by removing stones and weeds, then lightly dig and rake the soil. Give the box a good shake and scatter the contents at a rate of 25-30g/sq. m (approximately 8 tablespoons). Water the area immediately.
Sow from mid-March to June or September to November. Flowers will bloom in summer from a spring sowing, or the following spring from an autumn sowing. Annuals will flower in their first year and self-seed for subsequent years, while perennials typically flower from year 2 onwards (some may flower in their first year if sown early). Water regularly, especially during dry periods, until fully established. Remove any fading flowers to encourage fresh blooms and keep the area weed-free.
Supplied as 4 x Scatter Packs, complete with growing and care instructions. Mixed Seeds: Delivered in a box with a net weight of 200g, including 15g seeds plus vermiculite mix. The vermiculite acts as a 'carrier' to ensure even seed distribution when sowing compared to some bulk seed bags or flower bombs.
