Alyssum ‘Clear Crystal Mixed’ offers a delightful mix of pure white, lavender, and purple shades, producing blooms that are bigger than many other varieties. The sweetly fragrant flowers attract a host of pollinating insects, providing a valuable early nectar source and drawing beneficial insects to your garden. A reliable and hardy annual, it’s the perfect choice for creating cushiony carpets of colour from spring through summer. Excellent for the front of borders, nestled into corners, or cascading over rockeries and banks. They also work well as floral fillers for pots and baskets, gently spilling over the edges of containers. ‘Clear Crystal Mixed’ is a particularly vigorous variety, thriving even in poor soils and coastal conditions.
Pot up Alyssum plugs and nurture them in frost-free conditions. Once the plants are well-established, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions before transplanting them to their final positions. Choose a position in full sun, on light, well-drained soil.
