Air Purifiers

1 Results

Air purifiers filter the air around your home, removing pollutants, pollen and any other harmful particles. Particularly useful if you live in a built-up area or have allergies, our selection of air purifiers includes energy-efficient and whisper-quiet models. Ideal for homes that suffer from damp and condensation, several of our dehumidifiers also come with an air purifying function.

If allergies have got you feeling under the weather, you can relieve your symptoms with a handy air purifier. Filter out all the bad stuff and enjoy breathing a little easier.

Do air purifiers really work?

It's not too good to be true - air purifiers really do filter the air we breath! Air is sucked in through an open vent before being passed through one or more filters, usually made from fibreglass, mesh or paper. All the nasties in the air that we would otherwise be breathing in are left on the filter, allowing purified air to be recirculated into the room. They're a fantastic way to remove pollen, dust, dust mites and pollution from the air and are compact, making them easy to store. This means that you can pack your air cleaner away in the winter months or when not in use and bring it back out when the allergies begin to kick in again.

Is it OK to sleep in a room with an air purifier?

Anyone with eczema or allergies will know that they can often be worse at night, leading to poor sleep. For this reason, when you're deciding where to position an air purifier, your bedroom should be the top priority. Although we don't recommend leaving any electrical appliance on when you're out the house (just as a safety precaution), it's perfectly OK to sleep in a room with an air purifier. In fact, it can help you to get a better night's sleep. Just remember to put your air purifier on quiet mode if it has one for a night of uninterrupted shut-eye.

With a variety of products, many of which have digital displays, our air cleaners are a breeze to use. Just opt for the right sized purifier for your room and you’ll soon be feeling the benefits of clean, refreshing air. Homes that are prone to damp and condensation will also benefit from a dehumidifier or moisture absorber. These devices remove excess water from the atmosphere which would otherwise condense on walls and windows, causing damp and mould over a longer period of time.
