A message from Homebase
We have been heartened by the respect and consideration so many customers have shown towards our store teams as we all adjust to new ways of working and shopping over the last few months. Sadly however, I have learned of several instances where this hasn’t been the case, both in our own stores and across the wider industry.
I’m proud to have worked with the British Retail Consortium to launch the ‘five steps for considerate shopping’. It is a timely reminder that the British public now has a central role to play in creating a safe, enjoyable retail environment – for other customers, but also for the store teams working so hard under these unusual and unfamiliar circumstances.
Safety in store is about more than physical hygiene. We are living through extraordinary times, and I would like to extend a huge and heartfelt thankyou to our team for their ongoing commitment, and our customers, for their support and patience.
