Additional information
Bonsai really means to create a tree in mini shape. Do this by yourself with pruning back every time to keep your plant in shape and good conditions. There are many kinds of Bonsai like Ficus Ginseng but this is the real Bonsai (with varieties like the popular Zelkova, Carmona, Cerissa, Sagarethia, Ficus, Podocarpus. Though Bonsai trees are more delicate compared to the average indoor plant, a few basic rules should enable anyone to take care of its tree properly. Most importantly are watering, fertilization and choosing the right position to place it.
Care instructions
Fertilize with Bonsai liquid and prune back with special Bonsai scissors. Keep water at level with the Easy Care system (explanation at card included).

Feeding instructions
Feeding regularly during the growth season is crucial for your Bonsai to survive. Normal trees are able to extend their root system looking for nutrients; Bonsai however are planted in rather small pots and need to be fertilized in order to replenish the soil's nutritional content.
Planting instructions
To prevent a tree from being pot-bound and ultimately starving to death, regular repotting is crucial. Re-potting your Bonsai will not keep it small; instead it will supply the tree with new nutrients that it needs to grow and flourish.

Soil type
The bonsai plant is dependent on a small volume of soil in the pot, where it receives the right amount of water and nutrients. Thus, it is important that you select the best type of bonsai soil for your plant. The soil quality that is used has a direct effect to the tree s health and vigor, and it is essential that you consider several qualities in a good soil mix for bonsai trees. For instance, the soil should provide excellent water retention that could supply moisture to the plant between each watering sessions. It is also ideal that the soil offers good drainage, which means excess water should drain easily from the pot. Soil that lacks proper drainage tends to be water retentive, liable to salt buildups, and lacks aeration. With these qualities in mind, you should opt for a well-structured and inorganic particle-based bonsai soil and is the best option since it ensures good water drainage and provides aeration.
