I have replaced 12 off 50Watt halogen GU10s in banks of 4, each bank on a dimmer with these LED bulbs. So far I have had no failures and they give more light that the original halogens. I recommend that if you are using dimmers you replace any older dimmers with new ones designed to work with LED bulbs. With original dimmers they flickered and buzzed. I found you can mix halogen and LED without any problems.

Bought 8 of these for kitchen ceiling
Within 4 weeks 4 different ones have blown
Not impressed as it is such a hassle to change them and keep going back to store
Is store guarantee for 1 year or 25 years ?
There are NO manufacturer contact details on packaging
Will be taken them all back

Rated 5 out of 5 by Al Very bright and genuine white colour
Just bought 2 of these for a pair of uplights, they are much, much brighter and give a whiter light than some other 5W LED bulbs i've got. It's a clean white rather than the green tinge that some 'warm' bulbs have. I would say that these actually do deserve to be described as equivalent brightness to a 50W halogen.
The other reviews where dimming is mentioned fail to actually state that dimmers have a MINIMUM wattage that they will work with - as well as the leading/trailing edge compatibility. A standard one for halogens cannot cope with the low load of LEDs and will make them fail. Check before you swap these straight into an existing setup.

Bought 6. Tried one and initial impression good. Then turned light off and on again. Bulb blew. Tried a second and this one would not stop flickering.
No such issues with any previous bulbs.
Gave up at this point and returned the lot. 25 years - did not last 25 minutes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by BK Totally pants
Bought 3 of these for a three arm light fitting with a dimmer switch (working fine with halogen bulbs).
Turned off fuses, fitted all 3 bulbs, switched power back on and the lights were on....but couldn't turn them off. Dimmed OK but pretty useless if you can't switch them off.
Took the bulbs out and replaced with the halogens. This is where it got silly- with 2 led lamps and 1 halogen all worked correctly. Switched on/off and dimmed correctly. refitted the 3rd led lamp and as soon as the contacts touched all 3 lamps came on.
Totally bizarre- returned the bulbs. Now to bite the bullet and spend the money on something which does actually do what it should.

bought because described as dimmable! worked good at first, nice and bright!! great!!! then changed the switch to a nice schneider modern dimmer! (GU6412E) well first time it dimmed it went very dim! crackle and pop from the LED lamp and it never worked again!! so who is at fault?? a dimmable LED being used on a dimmer.....seems correct to me! BUT you need to look further!! neither LED lamp or dimmer say if there leading edge or trailing edge dimmable! yes there is a difference in dimmers!!! BUT no one gives any technical information about it! so your all in the dark if it will work or not! even if you try and do your homework you come up blank! Why is such important information missing of the packet? 'Dimmable' is just to broad of a word to use without more info.
So ok for use if your just switching them on and off!! BUT DON'T BUY IF YOUR THINKING OF DIMMING THEM! THEY SAY THERE DIMMABLE BUT KEEP THE RECEIPT HANDY WHEN YOU BUY THEM!! YOUR BE TAKING THEM BACK AS FAULTY!! like me!!

Bought 2 dimmable TCP and one of them have stopped working within a month, the other is still working. I have around 15 LED from a very reputable makers working very well for over a year. I think these are very inferior makes.
