Homebase is updating its 'Home of Colour' wallpaper range, designed to help customers decorate their home in a creative and co-ordinated approach this autumn.
With 24 different wallpapers on offer, the new selection is made up of patterns including florals, stripes, and squares across a variety of bold and neutral colours, reflecting the growing trend of feature walls entering the home.
The range has also been crafted for each wallpaper design to complement at least two colours from Homebase's Home of Colour paint range, making it easier to get the right decorating look this autumn.
Traditional Wallpaper RangesThose wanting to warm up their home in a bright but traditional way have the option of trying our signature floral patterned wallpapers, like the Nostalgia pear green which offers a traditional feel. Red is proving popular at the moment, so wallpapers like Ava flame Moroccan red and Empire flame Moroccan red are expected to be hits with the traditionalists.
Modern Wallpaper TrendsStripe patterns are appearing as a growing trend in the home enhancement sector, and Homebase has responded by introducing this pattern in reds, blues and purples. Wallpapers like Empire marina blue and Empire feather boa modern mauve are perfect for first time buyers looking to freshen up their home with their own ideas.
Homebase has also found that more of the colour silver is creeping into people's homes, and so customers can now add a bit of steel to their surroundings through floral and block patterns like Infinity dove grey silver mist and Harmony zest.
What does the Expert on Trends say?Homebase's Head of Trends Joanna Bolt said: "Gone are the days where you can get the look just by decorating all four walls with the same colour, or same product. "Using patterned wallpaper as a feature is an excellent way of personalising and updating a room. It creates a focal point and helps to highlight specific features, such as interesting fireplaces and architectural features - or to just simply re-invigorate an otherwise plain room."
Liking certain decorative colours is one thing, but getting paint and wallpaper to work together in a home environment can be challenging for some people too. Advising on the best way to go about the matching process, Jo adds: "When matching paint to wallpaper always match to the primary colour in the pattern and choose the secondary colour as the accent paint colour."
The new ranges are available in-store and on homebase.co.uk from 28th October, and start from £9.99 per roll.
