Step-by-step guide

Step 1

Refresh the walls with Jasmine White.

Step 2

Mark out the track lines, at the top of the wall, using chalk.

Step 3

Run the string over some coloured chalk until it has a good coating. Next, line up with the measurements and fix with masking tape.

Step 4

Allow the weight to stop moving and then pull the string tight so that it snaps against the wall and makes a mark – this will be the guideline for where to paint the track.

Step 5

Mark out the chalked lines with masking tape.

Step 6

Seal the edges, along the masking tape, with a coat of white background colour.

Step 7

Apply two coats of Tangerine Twist to the walls. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next.

Step 8

When the second coat is dry, carefully peel away the masking tape.

Step 9

Using the method from Step 4, make a horizontal chalk line to help position the number stencils. Space the numbers out evenly and hold them in place with masking tape.

Step 10

Apply white over the numbers using a small roller. Leave the stencil on between coats of paint.
