We were already fans of Weber kettle barbeques having had the larger one for many years so we can testify to the longevity and quality of Weber kettles. The larger one has now been 'adopted' by our daughter and grand-children, so we wanted a smaller one for ourselves and the compact filled the bill perfectly.
The only small criticism is that the 'butterfly' ventilator at the base of the compact barbeque does not have a long lever like its larger counterpart, but is easily prodded into position.
Not the cheapest kettle bbq on the market, but certainly one of the best and value for money.
All we now need is a run of barbeque weather!!

Bought this in store yesterday (2nd June 2012) after having many alternative and cheaper BBQs over the years and I must say this is the most solidly built BBQ I've ever had!
There were alternative style BBQs available for a slightly cheaper price - however experience as taught me you get what you pay for.
While it comes packed up ready for self-assembly it's pretty straightforward with a little patience.
It looked in store a little big for our family of three, but in reality it's just right as it allows (at least) three people's food to be cooked simultaniously. Really, if you think it's a little big for a small family just buy it and you won't be disappointed.
I've not used it yet (rubbish Jubilee Bank Holiday weather!) but can't wait as I know it'll be well worth the wait, as it scores consistently high with many reviews elsewhere and due to the solid build quality I won't be looking for a replacement at least in the next ten years!
One piece of advice in addition to buying this product is to aquire a BBQ "chimney" as it allows your BBQ to get off to a roaring start - YouTube shows you how :)
Happy Jubilee'ing :)
