Rated 5 out of 5 by Bob Mac Excellent Tool
I like the quality of this item I have used a friends fein multicutter in the past and this compares very well, especially the keyless cutter change ant the quality.
The Fein did not have an adjustable guide although I have not seen a recent version. Very pleased wtth this item and also other Fatmax tools.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mr Morton Excellent quality and value
Bought during the 15% off weekend which also had 25% off Stanley Fatmax making this an excellent buy and value for money. Only used it a few times but it works a treat and has done the jobs accurately and effortlessly. Really solid build.

I needed this for a rush job, I must confess I had looked at these in the past but never bought one, I had to remove a section of central heating pipe which was leaking and fit a repair coupling. This tool was perfect for the job, all done and dusted in one and a half hours, including painting, without this bit of kit I would still be struggling.
The guys at Homebase Hove couldn't have been more helpful as well, altogether a good experience.

Was not sure if I needed this before, as I have many other power tools, having got one, don't know what I would do without it.
Had some established decking which I wanted to saw in half to move around the garden but did not want to move it all due to weight, this thing sliced through it like a hot knife through butter. Secret is to let the tool do the work and don't push too hard but let it cut without labouring. In fact it was slower pushing, if I just rested the blade on the wood, steadied the tool and let gravity pull it down it was much faster.
Cats had also used the decking to sharpen their claws, so very splintered. Off with the saw blade, on with the sander, a few minutes later, a splinter free deck.
Next bathroom grout. Change to the carbide blade, easy to guide, good precision, and again no effort needed. Only downside, could not get into the corners, but will take the 95% power tool, 5% scraper any day of the week. Only wanted to scrape off the surface, a freshen up, which was easy to do, much easier than a scraper because it does not slip. But I can see that with a little more effort I could take out all the grout if needed. My tiles are quite close together but blade was still thin enough to cope.
Next, seal around bath needed removing. Purchased the stanley flexible blade (elsewhere online, could not find on homebase website - hint homebase). Blade sliced through flexible seal, just kept it parallel to wall and then bath and it was then easy to pull away. Bath is plastic but as blade is flexible and bends, could keep it parallel to bath hence zero damage, no scratching, just removal of seal.
Tool less blades - so easy to change. Initially thought about getting a sealant blade for a different machine and using the convertor, changed my mind and got the Stanley one, best change of mind ever made. So easy to change between stanley blades, takes less than 5s, including powering off and on !!
Lots if blades, sander and sturdy box to keep it all in.
Not too heavy, but sturdy and well built.
Replacement for Jigsaw, Sander,...
3 year warranty. Not used yet but peace of mind.
Box could be slightly bigger. Although it is small enough to not take up much room, the long cable (which is another plus) makes it a tight squeeze to close. Lost a star for that, but only dislike so far. Maybe I should not complain as the box is a tight squeeze due to the multitude of contents it has to hold.
I need a blade that makes me a cup of tea. It seems to do everything i want it to bar that :-)
After continuous use for a while on the grout, ears were ringing a bit, and fingers were tingling when I stopped. Went away after another hour so not really a problem, but just a warning to not get carried away and instead take a break every so often to give the nerve endings a rest. I expect this is true of most power tools.
