A clear varnish that has just enough shine to bring out the beauty of the wood.

Yes, I did buy this but then changed it for the Matt version! I already had a small can of satin, which I tried on my lovely new oak door; I didn't like the finish at all. However, when I sanded the door and used my new can of Matt, the finish was excellent - I am extremely pleased.
So, if you want to bring out the best from some bare hardwood, especially if it is Oak, I recommend the Matt version of this product.

Great, does what it says on the tin! Single coat looked good, but second coat with a light rub down finished our oak doors off a treat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Miss P Excellent hard wearing varnish
This varnish is easy to apply. It appears quite glossy but after 24 hours dries right back to a satin finish. It is very smooth and I would definitely recommend. Have dropped a few things on my hardwood floors and it's not marked at all. I used two coats.

Used it on the kick plates under the kitchen units, so needed something to stand up to wear and tear. Excellent finish and easy to work with. Gave it three coats and looks the part. Give it plenty time to dry inbetween rubdowns and next coat

We bought some new doors for the whole house which were veneered in white oak. After we put on 2 coats of Ronseal satincoat clear varnish they look as though we had paid ten times as much for them.

Expensive but good! A great varnish. I used it for my internal pine doors, built up in three coats sanding down lightly with 600 grade wet and dry sandpaper between coats. It's a big mistake to use a thick varnish if you wish to acheive a satisfactory result. You really get what you pay for with this!
